Michael Zabelin is a Staff Attorney at Rhode Island Legal Services. He first came to the program as a Skadden Fellow in 2011. As an attorney in the Housing Law Unit, Michael concentrates his practice on foreclosure prevention, post-foreclosure eviction defense, and defense of evictions in public and subsidized housing. Michael is a 2010 graduate of Harvard Law School and a 2005 graduate of DePauw University. Before joining Rhode Island Legal Services, Michael clerked in the Rhode Island Judiciary’s Trial Clerk Department. Prior to law school, Michael worked in the national office of Rebuilding Together as a member of AmeriCorps*VISTA and taught English in Quito, Ecuador.
